SKILLS RANKING

1. Communication

2. Proper Etiquette

3. Time Management

4. Reading Comprehension

5. Setting Priorities

6. Math

7. Financial Management

8. Stress Management

9. Understanding Technology

10. Research Skills

The top five ranking skills can help me in the classroom like this. By having good communication and proper etiquette, you will be able to talk to students and teachers without offending anyone and getting your point across. If I manage my time wisely, I will be able to make everything flow nicely between school and my 2 jobs. With reading comprehension, well, that is obviously important because you need to be able to read to do pretty much anything. And if you don’t set your priorities straight, then you’ll have everything ending up in a big, messy jumble.

Some consequences of not mastering the first five skills could be you don’t manage your time too wise and end up overlapping appointments or just filling your day with way too many things that need to be done and then you don’t accomplish anything. If you can’t communicate with people then you won’t be able to talk to people properly and you’ll never get anyone to understand what your point is. With proper etiquette, you won’t offend anyone and you’ll know how to act in public.

I ranked the bottom five the way I did because you need to know Math to run a business and to even understand Financial Management. I ranked Stress management the way I did because I think it’s easy to deal with stress. If I just pop in March of the Penguins, my stress levels drop way down. Understanding technology isn’t as important as the other stuff because you can always hire someone to handle the technological side of things. Research skills I put at the bottom because how often do I have to actually research something? I will for school and for when I end up opening my own business, but for now, it is least important than the top 9.
