At the moment, more and more families are broken. At the mean time, this phenomenon affects the development of spirit of children. Some people think that divorce is always bad for children and it can lead to psychological distortions. However, others believe that children who grew up in a divorced family handle this kind of relationship better when they become adults. Firstly, the most important reason of divorce, lack of love, is always bad for children, because they need care of parents. There is a great loss for the mental of these children that they feel sorry and agony. In addition, these children whose family is broken always think that they are the important reason of divorce. No matter who leave, they always believe that the parent doesn’t love them anymore. So if these parents hope the children own a healthy spirit, they should regularly visit the children.

Secondly, another reason is the children of divorced family have more difficulty and behavior problems in the school or society. For instance, some time they were discriminated from other children who have a complete family. In the same way, they often self-examination because they think that esteem of them are valueless and bad ("To a child, divorce can seem like the death of a parent"). The solution is government and school should preserve them by law and school regulations.

Nevertheless, others believe that divorce is not always bad for children. There is research to demonstrate in the short-time, when the parents divorce, it can lead to a one to two year crisis period for their children. However, the researchers understand that with the change of time they would soon buck up (Constance Gager).
