Over the past nine weeks I have immersed myself back into academia. Recognizing in order to achieve my professional goals, I needed to return to school to master the skills needed to further my career. There are many challenges in front of me as returning student. Creating a Student Survival Guide will help me navigate my way through college, and achieve my degree. The guide will serve as a personal reference tool for me to use to accomplish my academic pursuits.

Axia College has provided use with numerous educational resources. Supplementing the traditional text format information, visual and audio attachments can be downloaded to the computer, or MP3 player for individuals on the go. The University library has proven to be the most valuable asset for me. The extensive online library also contains the Center for Writing Excellence, Center for Math Excellence, student labs, grammar and writing guides, American Psychological Association reference information, and other tutorial and guides. The library’s search engine operates as an advance web search, and is relatively straight forward, and simple to comprehend. The search results will contain marks identifying key information in the articles. The articles author, publication date, and the database in which it came from will be displayed. Additionally, if the article has been peer-reviewed it will be indicated. The Center for Writing Excellence has two key features that should be used with every assignment.
