I. INTRODUCTION

Liberation theology is the main concept of the subject Thed5, which is taught that Christians must work for social and economic justice for all. It is also the a political movement in Catholic theology which interprets the teachings of Jesus Christ in relation to a liberation from unjust economic, political, and social conditions. It is also been described as “an interpretation of Christian faith through the poor’s suffering, their struggle and hope, and a critiques of society and the Catholic faith and Christianity through the eyes of the poor”. Social immersion/ exposure is one of the components of social justice program of Thed 5 aside from the discussion of the theological, social concepts and principles. This serves as the realization part of the students to experience things they not do regularly and to interact with people or family of the organization/community of a specific area. Each group has a social justice to choose confronting the Filipinos today as for approval of the Professor.

In this paper, the group chose the poverty,education,inequality and health issue among the Filipinos specifically at our chosen area. The group finished the 30-hour immersion/exposure in five consecutive meetings.

Poverty issue in the Philippines, Poverty in the Philippines is a major obstacle to the success of future generations of the Filipino. But we can break the Philippine poverty cycle and reduce unemployment in the Philippines. Because it poses such a significant threat to political stability, poverty in the Philippines is a very serious problem.

In the issue of Education, Education has been one of the main reasons of the family why they are poor today and why they don’t have a decent job. They cannot afford to send their children to school and also the illiteracy of their parents that they put on their minds that “hindi naman kailangan magaral kung may abilidad ka naman sa buhay”.
