I think the implementation of ipad menu can be more successful in MaCafe or some other theme restaurants than in regular McDonalds. Like others mentioned in their postings, regular McDonald's is associated as a fast food restaurant for quick and affordable meals. So people may not want to stay too long in the restaurant while ipad menu and required wifi environment is designated to welcome people stay comfortable in their seats.

However, McDonalds has introduced a lot of restaurants with different themes in order to better fit in the culture and eating habits in different locations. Like the one located in Orlando also known as “the world’s finest McDonalds”, it features with in-house chefs providing such pleasures as gourmet pizzas, Panini sandwiches, coffees and delectable desserts. Moreover, Venture upstairs to find a fantastic view & video games for the Baby Boomer generation. Unwind from that hard day at work with a relaxing game of billiards. This restaurant can attract not only children who still in the mood of theme parks adventures, but also can address the needs of people that enjoyed a higher standard of fast food. So restaurants like this may have a higher chance to successfully implement the ipad menu than the regular ones. The target customers are willing to spend more time in the restaurant and the higher quality of ordering procedure can match up with the overall felling that this restaurant can provide.

The previous analysis is based on different target customer basis, regular McDonalds target to those people who need immediate fast food with affordable price, so the new system would take longer time for them to adjust, while customers in theme restaurants tend to explore the menu and enjoy a high standard of restaurant features and ipad can match their needs. From a organizational relationship point of view, it makes more sense that the new menu can do better in McCafe than in McDonlds. The system must improve efficiency and effectiveness...
