Self-Evaluation

Taking the DISC self-evaluation test gave me a great amount of information that I never realize for myself. My classical profile pattern is a perfectionist pattern. According to DISC “I tend to display great attention to detail and fierce devotion to accuracy. It is likely that I seek predictable activities within the safety or a stable environment. By achieving these conditions, I will most likely make my head goal the quest of solid results that are incontestably high in quality.

This will help me to approach my management with more confiendence.

Many of the result did surprise me on the DISC personality profile. Much strength was recognizing that I wasn’t aware of but most I really agree with. Knowing my strength I never thought about the downfall that could come to play if I rely on that strength to much. For Example According to DISC, “Self-assured: my belief in my own abilities may propel me toward leadership positions. The confidence and certainly my exude can also inspire my colleagues to greater heights.” However, this can become a problem if I rely on this trait and can cause others to view me as a haughty and arrogant person.

Some changes I will make based in what I have from this assessment will be my self-critical because I know I tend to become overly critical towards myself and towards others. Another thing I will change is self-conscious. I have always been aware where my strength lies and realistic about things. However, because I am afraid of making mistakes this will cause me to miss out on other opportunities and exploring other talents within myself.

Having managers take a self-evaluating such as DISC are valuable tools to use. This will help managers to understand his or her behavioral styles and strategies for effectiveness. This will also help them to understand their potential strengths and weaknesses. This will help them become better managers....
