Assessment:

The Course Assessment will be in two parts ..

1. A Group Presentation which will be worked up in seminar subgroups of about five students per group. This presentation will be of around 15 minutes and will address the preliminary problems facing The Spiceman ( see assessment brief available in Week 15 ). The marks for this part comprise 20% of the marks available for the whole course. Each group participant will receive the same mark ( but see detail of the assessment criteria whereby lack of individual participation will attract penalty ). It is expected that presentations will be given in Week 24.

2. A report on how The Spiceman should deal with his problems and exploit his opportunities. This report will have to be written to a strict limit of 6,000 words ( excluding references and a maximum of ten pages of appendices ). The project brief and guide to report preparation will be issued separately. The report is an individual contribution and each report will be assessed separately. The report is worth 80% of the available marks for the course

Submission Date:

On or before 15.00 on Tuesday 7 May 2013 to the Undergraduate Office in KBS/ Research Building. Please ensure that a receipt is obtained. There will be no extension to the deadline other than for medical or other serious reasons. Please note that corrupt files / computer malfunction are not deemed serious reasons .. so ensure that suitable back-up copies are kept. Applications for late submission should be accompanied by a request for extension form and appropriate documentary evidence. The examiners consider applications based on the written evidence so verbal explanation to the course convenor is not needed. Please identify your work on the front cover by your EXAM NUMBER and NOT by either your name or your log-in.
