In this work I will examine two religions, Islam and Christianity their differences and their similarities.
Islam and Christianity are the two largest religions in the world.
Christianity has an estimated following of nearly 2 billion.
Islam has an estimated following of nearly 1.3 billion.
In this section I will examine the history of both religions (the information contained in this work has been done in brief terms to highlight difference and similarities)
Christianity founded- 30AD –approx.
Islam founded- 622ce- approx.
Christianity place founded-Palestine (middle-east)
Islam place founded-Arabian peninsula (middle-east)

Islam-Qur’an (Koran).
BELIEF in the bible
Christianity -literal word of god, inspired human accounts.
Islam- Muslims do not accept the bible as the true word of god (ALLAH) but rather man’s own interpretation of the word of god (ALLAH), Muslim do accept that some elements of the bible have relevance such as Jesus was a prophet, as were some other individuals that are mentioned in the bible, as such the bible may be used or read by Muslims as a book of interest only and the parts of the bible that are relevant to the Quran are deemed as relevant.
BELIEF in the Quran.
Christianity- Christian’s do not believe the Quran has relevance to their religion as a sacred text, but do accept the parts that affirm any of their beliefs and also accept that the Quran as a holy text has relevance to Muslims.
