Handling problems with crime in society is not easy task. The functions and components of the criminal justice system must continue to evolve to detect issues and to keep up with the growing trends of society.. New laws have to be considered and old laws have to be carefully examined to keep pace with the evolution and growing trends. In this paper there will be an examination of the organizational management of policing, administration, operational aspect, past, present, and future trends and how these components connect and impacting society through the criminal justice system. Society is forever changing and the criminal justice system is a key component that must be understood in order for it to prosper.

Analyze the organizational management of policing

Policing organizations operate in a quasi-military manner. A quasi-military manner means that organization goes by order of rank in a top down method. At the top of the chain-of-command are the administrators which include the chiefs, deputy chiefs and majors. The administrators are what are known as the command level personnel. In the middle of the chain are the captains, lieutenants, and sergeants, which make up the middle level management. At the bottom of the chain are the officers who are referred to as the line personnel ("Police Organization", n.d.). Each rank has its own responsibilities. The officers are the frontlines of the policing organization. Each position in the policing organization has to answer to the administrators, who hand down the orders to each position.
