In what ways does this article stimulate critical thinking or help a leader address current issues related to individual, social, and or group processes in an organization.

This article suggest that a good leader has an obligation to make choices and take action that contribute to the well being and interest of society, as well as to the organization (Harari&Brewer 2004). This article goes on to suggest that the leader must provide the vision for the group (Harari & Brewer 2004) the leader must provide the frame work by which the people in the organization can help achieve the dream.

This seems to suggest that the leader must produce a culture of openness, and honesty. According to (Ferrazzi, 2008) leaders need to be accountable and transparent. The leader must produce an atmosphere where debate can take place without repercussions.

The culture of the company needs to encourage people to challenge ideas, suggestions and plans. When this kind of procedure is implemented, this helps with creating organization thinking; and it allows people to produce great ideas and productivity (McLean & Elkind 2005).

According to (Harari & Brewer 2004) authentic leaders have enough integrity and self confidence to ask the toughest, most disrupted and most uncomfortable questions that are how they uncover problems and inspire change. According to (Eickwald, 2005) Enron was the kind of company that did not allow dissention, if people suggested alternatives ways of thinking they were castigated for not being a team player. This produced an environment of fear stagnation and antipathy.

Greed is another factor that can deteriorate a leader and eventually take down a company. Enron, Tyco, and World Com were all taken down by the lack of integrity and greed (Eickwald, 2005).
