With the development of society, the world gets closer and closer. People get more chance to understand different culture in the world. I'm a Chinese girl, I've been American for four years. As a immigrant, I find out that there are many difference between Chinese and American culture. Such as language, manners, food and so on.

Like what mentioned above, diet has a great distinction between China and America. Chinese diet is sense of beauty diet and people usually pay attention to the color, flavor and taste. Chinese try to find out ways as much as they can to make food taste better but regard the nutrition of food. On the other hand, American are more focus on nutrition. They try to cook in a simple way and don't really care about color, shape of food. They want to make sure their food is good for their health and try to keep the nutrient from food.

Besides the diet from two different culture, there is also a big difference about the realization of self-worth. American emphasize on individual's value and have strong sense of success. They think people who achieve their goals by working hard is very honorable and they respect those people. However, in China, people who can be respected only by making contribution to the society and country. Otherwise, it's very hard to get this honor.

Education is a very important part in a culture. Each country has their own idea about education. In China, parents make plans for their children and let their children do in their way. They want to make sure everything is moving in the right direction. Chinese parents don't pay much attention to children independent ability. On the contrary, American parents pay more attention to children independent ability, they want their children can make plan for themselves and give their children enough space or freedom to learn.

Secondly, in China, people really focus on getting a higher marks. Having a good grade is the most important thing in your school life....
