Many people have different opinions about various topics and believe that their opinion is accurate. The truth of the matter is that most of those opinions on a certain lack that facts that make those opinions concrete. An example of something like this is the topic of Immigration. Many people have different opinions towards this topic and some claim that their opinion is accurate, an opinion such as “immigrants take jobs away” or even “Immigrants are bad for our society”. But many people with opinions such as these lack the actual facts that support these opinions. All of this leads me to my report where I will be writing about various people’s opinions about the topic of immigration. The people who were reported were documented on a survey and all of this data comes from that survey which is an annual survey that is done by the Census Bureau. These people were asked many different questions about this topic. I was assigned to pick six different variable combinations. The purpose of this report is to gather up all of the information from those six variable combinations and explain how each set relates to one another and how people’s opinions relate to other people’s opinions as well. The type of analysis that I performed while doing this report was a crosstab that resulted in an output on the SPSS computer system. That is also the way I got the information on how people’s opinion differs or is the same on this topic and the relations of each variable combinations.

Now that all of the variable combinations have be presented and broken down in this report what we can conclude is that there was some basis down while doing this survey. When the survey broke down the race of the respondents between black, white and “other”, there was a basis there. The category “other” should have been broken up into separate categories so we can know who is in that category to get a better feel of what each race thinks.
