Marlin’s Beginning and End

The mice of Farmville known better than to trespass into the Smith’s household. The motto of the Smith’s house to Marlin’s mischievous mice friends is, “Once you go in, you’ll never get out”. However, Marlin refuses to believe he falls under this barbaric motto of his friends. Marlin isn’t like the other mice of Farmville. Ever since he was born, he’s always had an extraordinary excellence in quick wit like a calculator and excels in anything he sets his mind to. So when it came time for Marlin and all his buddies that he’d grown up with to choose a permanent household to live in, he was the first to speak up about the Smith’s household. This did not surprise any of his friends what so ever, although they remain worried about his life! Marlin owns up to his word and moves into the Smith’s household, in hopes of surviving. The Smith’s household is quite lovely. It has beautiful pearl white curtains in the kitchen, granite counters, golden, shiny tile and, most importantly, a full fridge. Marlin is sure he is going to enjoy himself. Kasey is the Smith’s cat and accompanies Randolph, the Smith’s Rottweiler. Kasey and Randolph do not get a long and never have. Kasey is mischievous and liked to ignore Randolph’s words, so they try to leave each other alone most of the time.

Marlin moves into the wall of the Smith’s living room and makes himself comfortable. It’s a beautiful Sunday morning with the sun shining and Marlin finds himself terribly parched! He decides that he’s going to take a stroll into the kitchen and fetch himself some milk from the Smith’s fridge. He waits for the Smith’s family to leave for church, and then casually strolls into the kitchen. Marlin has never left his tiny house before, but he doesn’t expect it to be any problem at all. Suddenly, out of nowhere, he hears a girl’s voice behind him. Kasey says in a raspy voice, “Now, what do you think you’re doing here, little fellah?”...
