The database I used the most in my first paper was Issues and Controversies. The Issues and Controversies database was the most successful for my topic. The database had more articles for my topic and most of them were up to date. The second database I looked at was CQ Researcher and it was good but the articles were not up to date. There was only two articles about my topic but it did have some decent research. If I had to refer one I would have to say Issues and Controversies database. It was easier to find research and when you did search a topic it came up with many more options. They both had the search bars right at the top of the page, were you can just research you're topic. They both were very easy to use. A few thing I notice about the database CQ Researcher, it goes back only to 1991 to present day for their articles. Which is okay because you really want database that keeps up with everything. Some tips I would give to someone that wants to use these database are that just use the search bar and then you can pick through all the ones that have the words of your topic in it. Another tip I would give to someone is to use the pro-cons databases and when you do always pick the one that is closest to present day. It most likely will one of the top three that pops up. If they don’t just scroll through all the ones you can find that have something about your topic in it. Something a lot of people over look would probably be when you can type the topic in the search bar, and to the side there is a more of a defined search you and choose from. Which can make it were you just can put a year in where it will only have articles that will be posted in those years you put in. So I would just say stick with the pros and con databases and also used the search bars.
