Theme: "I am a questioning being: one who wants, one who wants to know, one who acts upon knowing."

It is inevitable for man to seek what's factual or real, not just to assume or imagine things. Some people does not exert effort upon knowing the reason behind a certain thing or situation. Those people are the ones who only settle for less, living in the line of mediocrity.

I consider myself not one of those who stop seeking for wisdom and better understanding. I've always been so curious about how things work and how they were made or built, and why such thing exists. I've always wanted to discover myself more, bout my strengths and weaknesses, my abilities and limitations. But this curiosity of mine has been given a deeper meaning since I enrolled to our course, Philosophy of Man. Through the readings and discussions, I learned more about human nature. I learned that I am a rational being who cannot not know, as our teacher repeatedly emphasized, and that I am a questioning being who is ought to formulate and ask the right questions.

As a human being, I have the capacity to think and think, for we have endless contemplation. I believe that there is a reason for everything. I am interested in discovering new ideas. I am fond of observing thing, trying to figure out what's with it. I am not contented with what I know now, day by day my wants are being incremented. I may be satisfied at times, but there will always be that feeling of asking for more. This motivates me to improve myself, furthering what's already in me. As human beings, needs and wants has been a part and parcel of our lives. But we have to consider our limitations. Sometimes what we are desperate for, is not what we really need.
