Our text book describes training as the procedure whereby people acquire abilities to perform a specific job. The text goes on to affirm that training provides workforce with specific identifiable skills and knowledge for employing in their present work.

In this situation there is a call center that facilitates about 25 workers, which is not strange for call centers. When planning training plan for new workforce in the client support call center it is vital to take into consideration the important talents that require to be covered. Frequently new employees require training on: telephone courtesy, product knowledge, helping clients feel “served”, plus dealing with difficult clients.

The company has put dedicated for a week for preliminary training which comprises four hours of data on health cover and other benefits. Accordingly, I think that performing an internal training gathering would be helpful in this situation. This one will be cost efficient since workers do not have to go outside the business paying for trainers to come in to train the employees.

The Benefits Department would be responsible for the session presenting information about health insurance and other benefits that are offered. During this time, employees will receive assistance completing forms and asking questions that they may have about their benefits.

After this session, orientation should begin. Orientation allows employees to be introduced to their job, co-workers, and the organization as a whole. Everyone in the company should be involved in this process. The goal is to make new employees feel welcome and help them to feel like they belong in this company.

The orientation should be blended; part of the information should be presented in person and using technology.
