“ALLSTATE INSURANCE COMPANY”

Introduction

Every company is based on performance and success through hard work, determination, knowledge and skills. In every working environment, there is different diversity among employees. Any organizations there are certain procedures and challenges that must be met to maintain a healthy, work- relation environment. Everyone is different in each organization that comes from different backgrounds of values and culture. Organizations are just basically a social group in which distributes tasks for a collective goal. By this meaning that each employee must play their part and work together in every work environment to be successful in any company. In this case, Allstate Insurance Company has challenged its employees and developed an effective way of overcoming the issue of diversity in the work environment.

Goal setting in the case takes time and effort in Allstate Company. Achieving goals among individuals in any company is a primary target. Goals and standards in a company in which is very important tool for motivation amongst individuals. According to the case, “Allstate had launched its first affirmative action program in the 1969” (Hellriegel, D., & Slocum, J.W.Jr. 2011). This program was created to improve the performances of Allstate’s business and making sure that it meets the professional standards of the company.

I. Using the Model for goal setting, evaluate Allstate’s goal setting process to determine whether or not Allstate has an effective goal-setting program.

In this case, Allstate Company has broken down an effective way to ensure that diversity is respected and acknowledge among different steps in four categories.
