1. ABOUT THE COMPANY

Flipkart was started by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal in 2007 with the objective of offering books to every single person connected to the internet. A few months later, the company sold its first book on its website John Wood’s “Leaving Microsoft to change the World”. Today it has diversified into other categories like consumer electronics, healthcare, apparels etc. Flipkart, headquartered in Bangalore, has a workforce of around 4,500 employees and operates from offices and warehouses in seven major Indian cities.
