“House Poor” is a recently developed term which refers to people who own a house but live an impoverished life due to their excessive financial loans. This happens mostly among middle class citizens who are now struggling to secure their lifestyle in the falling economy. This is one of the factors that are leading up to the destruction of the middle class. In the current society, the gap between the rich and the poor are increasing at an alarming rate causing extreme polarization. For middle class citizens, it is becoming very difficult to raise their living standard or secure their current lifestyle, but very easy to become poor. The collapse of middle class is a serious problem in the society, leading to suggestions to solve this issue, such as developing the employment market, as well as promoting social welfare for elders.

Middle class citizens are the employees, and high class citizens are the employers that can create a lot of employment opportunities. Large corporations should feel obliged to improve the middle class collapse phenomenon as it was the middle class consumers who helped them the most through purchasing their products and services. The companies should enlarge and manage their departments so it can facilitate more employment. In other words, the corporations have to tolerate some extent of loss to repay their debt they owe to the citizens. Furthermore, the government can also promote employment through the development of new industries and areas of work that shows some kind of prospect. Establishing a new market can give a rise to new careers and possibly improve the economy, relieving the fall of the middle class. The government can also restrict the number of foreign employees in companies as foreigners are the cause of the outflow of the nation’s currency, and shortage of job opportunities. In order for middle class to thrive again, the corporations and government needs to cooperate to provide more chances for them to earn some income....
