Should our school examination system be abolished?

From primary school to secondary level, there are three major examinations. In primary six, we have UPSR and we have PMR and SPM during our secondary level.

                Personally, I believe that the school examination system should be abolished because having major examination is really stressful. Most of the students will be much pressured because the examination is important for them. Their mood will be controlled by the examination because they will be always moody or unhappy. Besides that, they will always take a book to study. Their life will be filled with studies and they do not have any time to have outdoor activities that made them healthy.

                Furthermore, examinations should be abolished because the exams nowadays are mostly very academic. The students can do well but they do not have a lot of skills to do any real work. On the other hand, some students cannot show their talents in exams because they are more talented in other skills. Those who are talented in sports are very hard to study, because they belong to energetic type of people. This is the weak point of an exam because it doesn’t test the ability of the students to do other skills.

In addition, having examination cannot show the actual results of students. This is because some of the students will be nervous when they sit in the examination hall. When they are nervous, they can even forget what they have learnt and cannot write the correct answer. It is more unlucky while the students get sick. They cannot answer the questions normally. So, that is why some of the excellent students will also get poor results in the exams.

                At times, having exams will cause some poor achievers to feel degraded and it is demoralizing. They will think badly of themselves and also very depressed.
