Examinations should be abolished

Exams a word that seems to have the magical power to transform a happy and cheerful person into a frustrated and nervous wreck . However , it is a big part of the school that all students have to go through .

A very good morning to my lecturer , Ms Rebecca and my fellow course mates . Today , I am going to talk about the motion “ should examination be abolished”.

I know how to manipulate a rubik’s cube so that all six sides are the same colour . I didn’t learn it in school , it wasn’t a course that I had to sit for in school , and I didn’t have to pass an exam for it . I learnt how to do it because I wanted to know how to solve it , I went out and got the skills required , and kept at it until I got it . Why can’t the rest of our education system be like that ? Everyone from his early childhood should take endless examinations and succeed in passing them , before he could graduate from a college or university . Let me define examinations and abolish . Examination is a spoken or written test of knowledge whereas abolish means to officially end a law , system , especially one that has existed for a long time . I’m totally in favor of the idea that exams should be abolished for reasons .

Let’s us proceed to the content of my speech .

Firstly , opponents strongly argue that stress is necessary in education and it is important for students to do revisions before exam . However , most of the time students don’t perform well in exam due to stress . You can see for instance , some students cope well in class and produce a distinction grade course work but when it comes to exam , everything is a doom . Students should be given more relax environment to learn what they are taught . From my personal experience , I merely memorize everything needed for exam and during that period I dictate what I remember . After the exam answer sheet is collected , my memory will be erased automatically . The stress often kicks in during the memorizing...
