Define each word, and provide an example of each.

1. Job analysis- an examination of the tasks performed in a job and the competencies required to perform to perform the job and it’s also is a way to study what a workers do on the job, and what a human is required to complete the job.

-For example an office administrator position should look like this

-Seeking reliable, self-motivated individuals for a full-time. Duties include reception, management of patient flow, making/confirming appointments, collecting payment, and assistants in medical preparations. The applicant must show an interest in the medical/healthcare, great computer skills and strong in written and oral communication. Experience is preferred but not required. This position is full-time Monday through Friday with benefits such as medical, dental, and vision and holiday compensations.

2. Disparate treatment- when employees are treated differently

-An example will be something like an organization requiring women to have face to face interviews but male applicants only required to have over the phone interviews.

3. Integrity Tests- is when a company takes steps to identify the honesty and integrity of a potential employee, used to identify reduce theft and lying, communicating to employees that dishonestly will not be acceptable.

-The book uses the example of polygraph testing, testing the employee heart rate to determine if they’re lying.

4. Recruiting- the process of collecting a group of applicants and deciding who is best qualified for a position.
