What are at least two ethical issues associated with psychological testing? What impact do these issues have on the field of psychological testing? The most popular ethical issues in regards to psychological testing is the bias factor. This could be administering bias, data entry bias or participant bias. Administer bias is when the person conducting the testing either has a bias about the participant by then changing the questions or eliminating some based upon this bias. In the past it has been linked to racially and social economic differences between the administer and participant. The second is data entry bias when the person who is responsible for entering and evaluating the collected data eliminates answers or responses if it does not match their hypothesis or they can not find a category to put it in. The third is participant bias. That is mostly the respondent mis-answered or giving false information. They do this either because they do not care about the study or only there for an incentive, they do not understand the question and make up a answer or was not paying attention and give a false answer. 2. What are at least two legal issues associated with psychological testing? How do these issues affect the field of psychological testing? Most facilities that conduct any type of testing has what are called IRBs (institutional review board) these people are responsible for making sure the subjects are handled with respect and fairly.
