Nanny McPhee had spent the past few years trying to have children. She had a husband but they never had kids. Nanny McPhee had so many miscarriages, seven to be exact. She had finally given up trying to make the impossible possible, so she did what all nannies do. Nanny McPhee put an advertisement in the newspaper saying she would watch any children needing to be watched. She hadn’t expected much to come from such a small square on a large piece of paper. Almost a week later she had gotten a call about coming to live with the Brown family.

Nanny McPhee was gratefully welcomed to the large farm owned by Mr.Brown’s mother. Mr.Brown walked outside to greet Nanny McPhee calling for all his children to come outside at once. All seven kids came outside, Simon, Tora, Eric, Sebastian, Christianna, and Lily holding baby Agatha. Nanny McPhee was the one of the prettiest women the kids have ever seen.

The first day Nanny McPhee started working all the children realized that something was different about her. Every nanny that the children had, they ran them off. They thought that if they had another women in their life that she would replace their mother. With Nanny McPhee none of them felt that way. The kids would act bad and make messes and break things around the house before. Instead all the children helped Nanny McPhee clean and cook and do all the chores. Mr.Brown had never seen his children act so responsible. He was really impressed with everything Nanny McPhee had done so far on her first day. No nanny has ever been able to get his children to do chores.

Over the next couple of weeks Nanny McPhee started to really make her relationships grow.
