The purpose of high school education

The learning institution where students can count on parents and teachers to remind them of their responsibilities, to guide them in setting their priorities and to arrange most of their classes, is high school. According to the statistics provided by the United States Department of Labor around 75 percent of students graduate high school and 63.8 percent of those graduates enroll in colleges or universities. Gaining a high school diploma is usually a necessary step a person should take to achieve success and live a sustainable lifestyle. High school is designed to help students build their character, confidence and to enrich their knowledge.

Education students receive in high school and the experiences they encounter in high school shapes future by building their character. Character defines a person; it is shown through actions. The purpose of high school education is to prepare students to live effectively in a righteous way in a society. For instance, I took moral courses and I was thought to accept other’s idea with an open mind, respect opinions, work hard and be a patient and a responsible individual. I learned to communicate in a mannerly way, resolve problems in a peaceful method, be determined and to protect my self-dignity. Similarly, it is important for high school students to familiarize themselves with the moral codes of the society which they live in. A fruitful tree can not stand on its own without the roots. Success with out good character can not get a person further in life. Furthermore a society would not appreciate or respect a person without good character. It is critical to teach discipline. By learning moral or even following school rules like obeying teachers, being punctual students can learn discipline, which is critical to make students successful.
