Question 1: Hiring process

a) Given the above information who would you hire and why?

I would prefer Jeff based on the given criteria. The given criteria is related to the three important features such as answering the questions, general sociability, and perception of other employees who have attend the meeting of conduct the conversation along with the new candidates. I will prefer Jeff because the main criteria are based on the questionnaire and everyone asked the questions about the certain tasks of the job. Jeff correctly answers all the questions while staying within his comfort zone whereas the other two persons, Tim and Sheri gave the reasonable answers of the questions. Through this, it can be analyzed that the Jeff will have the creative and understanding mind, understand the question within the logic as well as external appearance and satisfied the team by keeping creativity aspects within the mind. On the other hand, the aspects or elements of the sociability can be developed within Jeff through assigning them some kind of sociability tasks, which can remove this deficiency. On the other hand, Tim and Sheri are not so creative with their answers but they are quiet sociable, therefore, the social ability factor will not work if there is lack of creativity.

b) What flaws do you see with making hiring decisions using the method of hiring employees described above?

There is a need to ask the candidates about their personal experiences. The scenario is explaining the lack of follow up by the companies. The candidates should have the opportunity to acquire knowledge about the companies. If the candidate did not do research regarding companies and the business ups and downs then the interview will be frustrating as in the case of Tim and Sheri.
