Rainbows. Extremely uncomfortable and stiff when first bought. I always seem to get a blister on the area of skin that rubs against the leather strap. After giving it 48 hours of breaking them in they will mold to your foot. Mine usually last about a year, however they are basically the only shoes I wear. Roughly on my sixth pair now, and I wear them until the heel breaks through or till the strap loses its hold. My current pair is thick strapped so I’m expecting them to last longer. They are dark brown with the notorious mocha colored sliver where the sole rises to fit the curve of the foot. And then they obviously have the little tag where the strap falls between the toes with the trademark rainbow on it. When I slip out of the shoes you can see my toes and heel imprinted perfectly into the sandal, as if it is made out of clay. It gets darker in those areas, and the longer you wear them, the darker the imprint gets.

Personally, I’m proud of this shoe because the top isn’t flat. Although this may sound like an odd achievement, it’s a great one for me. I used to drag my foot every few steps when I walked. My old tennis shoes, vans, and Ugg Boots all have holes at the top because of this. And in the past, my rainbows have fallen culprit as well, as they were sanded down flat in the front. But I’ve seemed to kick that habit unknowingly looking down at them now, four months after buying them. The typical round top of the sandal still holds its shape perfectly.

Whenever the strap loses its hold or they get too worn down, I always try to go get a new pair from Nordstrom for free, since they have such a good return policy. I know it’ll never work cause I’ve had them and consistently worn them for too long. But I still try anyways.
