Executive Summary
This report provides an analysis and evaluation of the implementation, strategic controls, and contingency plan for the company of Walmart. This plan will entail the background of the company, their mission, vision, and values. There is also an environmental scan with recommendations for the best strategy for the organization. The plan will also cover the identified risks for Walmart as well. In order to complete the evaluation and proceed with the strategic plan data was collected from the company’s corporate website. The data shows the company’s current position is a positive one yet enhancements could be made for the business’s continued growth. It is recommended that the corporation continues to analyze data to maximize profitability and minimize business risk across the globe.
Company Background
Walmart is widely known across the globe. The man behind the Walmart vision, mission, and purpose is Sam Walton, who opened the first Walmart in 1962 in Rogers, Arkansas. In 1969, Walmart became an incorporated company, which then started sharing and trading stocks publicly.
