Choose one of the following topics, or another topic of interest, on which to focus your research that will culminate in the Research Paper Final Draft.
1.
* Literacy and language development and the second-language learner
Locate three articles from the University Library that could be used in your final paper.
Topic: Literacy and Language development and the second-language learner
Keywords: Second-language learner, ELL, Literacy and language development, Developing Language skills, Second Language.
Strategies: I look for journals and articles based on the topic I choose. I make sure the sources are peer reviewed, scholarly and educational approved. Anyone can put any information on the web, however I ask myself a question “ Is this source credible”? By answering this question, I usually navigate the information to judge its credibility. Some ways to determine if the source is credible is always look where the information is coming from, then look for the author and find out about the author, then see if the information is current by examining the date. I usually look for the sources and find where their facts are coming from and the type of site is being used.
