1- How much DED is willing to establish a Marketing & Communication Department?
2- You think Marketing & Communication Department will improve the communication with your stakeholders?
3- What are your expectations regarding Marketing & Communication Department?
4- Since you don’t have a Marketing & Communication Department, what are the difficulties that you encounter when dealing with your stakeholders?
5- What are the communication channels and tools that you are using currently?
6- What are the areas that you are willing to develop in order to improve the communication?
Analysis:
As we asked the above questions to employees in the Department of Economic Development (DED), we were able to obtain a general picture about the communication in their department. DED’s core objective of communication is to interact with stakeholders in order to create value.
DED lacks a Marketing & Communication Department and its establishment is under process.
We were able to find out that Omar (majeda plz add his title) had 2 different feedbacks about having a Marketing & Communication Department. He said it is very beneficial in order to enhance their data base and to have better social networking with their stakeholders. However, from a negative point of view, Omar said that he as well sees that Marketing & Communication Department can be very dangerous for several reasons and one of those reasons is that they currently don’t have a structured Marketing & Communication Department and a mis-communication with any of their stakeholders leads to serious problems.
As for Noura, (majeda plz add her title), she as well had 2 different point of views. She believes it would be very beneficial to have a Marketing & Communication Department in order to build a good communication platform which helps us communicate effectively our mission, vision, and objectives.
