1. Discuss the location and names of any two landfill sites in your state. Discuss any two problems associated with these landfills. How has your state/county/city addressed these problems? List your references (at least two references are required).

Landfilling is a great way to handle thousand pounds of stuff that are thrown away by people each year. But buried stuffs in the ground create enormous problems, which has become a lot of problems with our landfills in Florida. The Pinellas County landfill is one of the worst landfills in the state of Florida because of so much air pollution. Locals who live around the landfill complain about the disgustingly filthy air in the morning from that plant. Beside the air contamination, landfill waste also occupies a lot of land, which is a growing concern for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Vista landfill is another landfill in Florida for non-hazardous waste disposal services; which includes, construction, debris, and yard waste. Vista landfill occupies a large amount of land and growing.

3. Assume you are placed in charge of waste management either at your workplace or college. Discuss two possible ways in which you can cut back on the solid waste generated. List your references (at least two references are required).

If I was place in charge of waste management either at my workplace or College, I would different ways to cut back on the solid waste generated. I would start by buying everything in bulk instead of individual packaged products. In that case I would have less packaging waste...
