1.Over the years, large business organizations have steadily reduced the number of layers in the organization structure. What purposes has this profound change in structure served?

Yes, the main reason for reducing the layers in the organizational structures is not done by man automatically, due to the economic ,strong competitive market and technical rises stage by stage in this high strategic situations , obviously we are move from one stage to another by changing layer of the business.
