Timothy Ferris, author of the “4 Hour Work Week” wrote, “The fishing is best where the fewest go, and the collective insecurity of the world makes it easy for people to hit home runs while everyone else is aiming for base hits. There is just less competition for bigger goals. If you are insecure, guess what? The rest of the world is, too. Do not overestimate the competition and underestimate yourself. You are better than you think.”

You are better than you think you are!  You can do more than you think you can do, and these six critical life lessons will help you do it.

6 Critical Life Lessons:

1. Run the Day

“Either you run the day or the day runs you.” ~Jim Rohn

It’s that simple, either you run your day or your day runs you.  Either you say what’s going to happen or the events of the day will dictate to you what happens.

You must have a plan; you must have a track to run on.  If you have no plan you will wander and you will accomplish a fraction of what you could have otherwise accomplished.

Decide to run your days; after all, they are your days.

2. Progress is Progress

“Even if you fall on your face, you’re still moving forward.” ~Victor Kiam

Les Brown said, “If you fall down, try to land on your back, because if you can look up, you can get up.”  It’s okay to fail, it’s okay to fall down, this is how you learn to succeed.  What if a small child, after stumbling 20 times said, “This ‘walking thing’ isn’t for me?”

Then he or she would never learn what is innate in them to do.  They would never reach the potential that lies within them concerning mobility.

If you stumble, if you make a mistake, that’s okay.  Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and move forward until you succeed.

3. Expect Problems

“Expect problems and eat them for breakfast.” ~Alfred A. Montapert

Expect problems and then overcome them, go around them, jump over them, run through them, eat them up and spit them out.  Pain is nothing to a giant.  A problem isn’t a problem.  It’s just...
