When it comes to deciding on my major, I am considering finances. Ever since I opened my fake stock trading account I felt in love with a passion for financial investment. My passion was so deep that even the current economic crisis could not deter me from seeking an education and employment in financial industry. The harsh conditions in the financial industry motivate me even more to go further, deepen my knowledge and seek career in the financial industry.

A decision that I need to make choosing a major is my future and retirement. The last thing want to do is to work when I’m 65 and still have a mortgage on my shoulders. I think that the finance degree will help to achieve my goals and have a secure and relaxing retirement.

The pros and cons of making my decision include rewards, hard work, job and career stability, and security. I have always been a hard worker and believed in a higher education. I know that competing in this industry is not an easy task and requires endless hours at work and being away from my family. I believe that hard work pays off and I’m ready to take this challenge to provide a brighter future for my loved ones.

My major choice and career goals fit together well because I could not do one with out another. What I mean by that is, I hardly could be in financial industry without having a degree from the business school. At the same time I have a necessary skills to be in the competitive business field. Over the years I have directed and shaped myself to work in this field. One of the most important skills in this field is critical thinking and paying attention to detail. I achieved both of these skills by earning a B.S. in Mechanical engineering and working as a mechanical design engineer solving various problems within a past few years.
