The little girl had the knowledge of birth since she was helping in the magical procures that could hasten the birth of his brother. Death to her comes as a surprise and thus why she sought the help of another person whom in this case is the writer.

When her mother was pregnant the young girl played that her mother could bring to the world a son. She had the preference of a little brother since he admired her cousins who had little brothers to look after. The son will also be of big help to his father who needed someone to help him in the construction of houses. They love each other since she had expectations of taking care for the young child to be born. There is also a strong bond of love scene between brothers and sisters.

The mother was observed and positioned in a way that will make the birth of child peaceful and more quickly. These were both magical and hygienic observations. Since from each activity they performed they expected there to be a magical change in the mother’s position and the birth. ‘The all waited for the requisite magical procedure designed to hasten the last hours of labor’, thus the preparations were magical though with more hygiene.

Panday helped her wife Sukub by massaging her abdomen and applied pressure with his arm to hasten the birth. Hanap fed her mother with rice gruel to give her enough energy for the birth. Sukub was holding on stronger and stronger till it reached a time when upon arrival of Ampan she become weaker. The team work is an indication of strong love and relationship of the Hanunoo genders since they all help each other.

The seven year old has the knowledge of how to help in reducing the labor and hastening the birth by use of magical procures. She learnt this when she overhead her cousins mother give birth from a balcony.
