Critique of: “A Good Man is Hard to find”

According to Chandler Otis, “Where you come from is gone, where you thought you were going to never was there, and where you are is no good unless you can get away from it” (1). In the short story, “A Good Man is Hard to Find” a selfish woman uses manipulation in order to get what she wants, but in the end is ultimately unable to save herself by her acts. The Grandmother manipulates her family members and the criminal throughout the story. The Grandmother was willing to manipulate any one in her presence just to make sure she was satisfied.
