Introduction

In the 21st century, large numbers of organisation’s work force consist of employees from various nationalities, generations, gender, and culture working together in a same organisation. Work force diversity indicates that organisation are moving apart from the tradition homogenous work force and evolving into a more heterogeneous work force.

Reason for Diversity

Rise in workforce diversity surfacing in plenty of developed countries. Diversity derives from various factors.Large number of low paid occupation in developed countries are vacant due to the local’s high expectation in terms of remuneration and job satisfactory factors, hence these job are mostly occupied by largely foreign labor. Due to globalization, aboard job opportunities and travelling becomes more accessible to the public as large and this provides people withmore opportunities to work aboard.Government implements policies that rectify population aging and anti-discrimination measures. Increase immigration from different countries encounter in recent years and the advancement of in education and skill of workforce (Pierpaolo, Dario and Mariola 2012).

Benefits of Diversity

According to (Cox, Taylor and Stacy 1991) company that emphasize and handle well on the issue of diverse work force will reap the fruits of potential competitiveness advantages among other companies.

Diversity can be favorable to company's effectiveness: enhancing the creativity and motivation among employees, maximizing the productivity, increase the loyalty of employees, better decision making skill by providing different perspective, satisfy diverse needs of customers and raise awareness about global products markets. Build up cultural value and improve corporate reputation (Alesina, Alberto and Ferrara 2005).
