It is very easy to agree that the era we are in is known as the digital era as social media platforms play vast and critical roles in developing business relations. It is definitely one of the most highly established platforms out there thus far so much so it would be impossible to design any marketing strategy without using social media platforms. Hence, I will be stating my stand for the fact that social media is the platform that reaches all consumers in this day and age. Technology is an ever rising advancement that continues to make the lives of its consumers more convenient. Having said that, due to devices such as tablets, cell phones and laptops, consumers are do not require their home computers (desktops) as often anymore. They will be able to have excess to the Internet on the go.

One of the reasons why this is such an essential part of marketing these days is because social media sites are open for everyone at any time and day. They are easily accessible for them hence making it easier for blooming businesses to get instant feedbacks for their projects or products. Not only that, it enables these business a beneficial insight of customers’ perspectives. It is also an inexpensive (sometimes free) form of advertisement as compared to spending money on a billboard ad that customers may or may not chance upon. Especially for blooming businesses, this is could be too high of a risk for them to take. For example, tourism companies named Contiki Holidays document their tours and upload them on YouTube (which is free for anyone to sign up) allowing their viewers to critique and give comments about what they have to offer in their tours. In preference to this, they could also easily hit the like or unlike button or subscribe or unsubscribe to their channel to show their interests.
