Cover Letter

After reviewing my first draft and receiving feedback from my peer and instructor I have made quite a few changes. First off when peer reviewed, I was given great advice as there wasn’t a thesis statement nor was there an introduction really. After reviewing and revising, there is now a clear thesis statement and introduction. When my instructor reviewed my work, I had seen the amount of grammatical errors such as spelling and structure throughout my paper. I made correct adjustments to the grammatical errors as well as structure as best I could. Both peer and instructor mentioned summary, as I looked over my work I had inserted a much clearer summary. My instructor had also mentioned a citation section, which I had failed to insert due to time constraints; with revised paper I had inserted a citation for Rose source. I wanted to thank my peer and instructor immensely as it helped tremendously.

Situational Analysis

Audience: My audience consists of my professor and classmates. My professor has provided their expectations of the project with a provided rubric. My professor has provided Readings over the Rhetorical Analysis project. APA/MLA format is being utilized.

Time: “I Just Wanna Be Average” written by Mike Rose, was published in 1989 and education systems in the year 2015 continue to throw kids in lesser education programs as they are deemed failures. Giving kids less of a chance to redeem themselves and further more not giving them a chance.

Place: The place does matter as many factors come into play like distractions, discipline, and time management in which Rose was tested on when going through his schooling. As students we have to ignore the distractions and discipline ourselves accordingly so that we may pass this course.
