Abstract
This paper discusses what computergenerated imagery is and what handdrawn animation is.
Many directors use both handdrawn and computergenerated imagery, but they are getting away
from handdrawn because computergenerated looks more real and they are able to make a full
computergenerated movie from start to finish. Computergenerated movies receive more awards
and get more of a profit out of their movies than handdrawn animation movies do. Many years
ago all of Disney’s movies were handdrawn; most of the adults who grew up with those movies
believe that Disney should consider going back to handdrawn animations. Although what the
adults don't realize is how much of an impact computergenerated imagery has had on the
movies. Computergenerated imagery offers more than just being able to create movies. It is a
great way for teachers to teach their students, and for college medical students to see the body
more in depth instead of practicing on a human and injuring them. Technology is becoming more
complex, which is why directors are avoiding handdrawn animation; people want what is new
and what looks the best and movies will achieve that by using computergenerated imagery.
