Abstract

Labor is an essential factor that drives the process of production depending in any given unit ranging from small to big companies.Labour requires the right skills and expertise. As per (Wikipedia, 2015) labour is majorly by way of contract or wage between the employer and the employee. In order to realize a healthy growth rate in a country’s economy, more and reliable labor has to be realized. More or less labour can by way affect a country’s economy either positively or negatively.

Germany an already developed country is facing a relatively higher level of immigration. A report by (Karaian, 2015) shows that Germany in 2014 had a population of close to 81 million and the number is expected to fall between 73 and 68 million in the year 2060.This is due to a decrease in population hence a higher death rate than the birth rate.Inborns between the age of 20 and 64 have a higher reduction rate of up to 60% by the year 2060.Despite a rise in the level of immigrants, the newcomers have failed to replace the diminishing number of native birth rates.

Clinging onto a report by (Financial Times, 2015) very alarming trends have been noted. As per economists, the rate of unemployment ranges close to 6.7% hence Germany is close to full employment. Shortage of IT professionals and engineers has been noted in that there are less skilled personnel who are fit for the positions. According to (Dettmer, 2015) German companies see immigrants as an opportunity. The economy is now almost becoming fully dependent on immigrants from Europe as well as other countries due to the asylum rights in Germany.

As per from the 1960s, Germany recorded a rise of past 1 million guest workers. The lack of a modern immigration law has forced the government to amend ordinances and legalizations in order to facilitate the process if immigrants becoming part of the labour market. According to...
