Chapter 4 Discussion Questions

1. Project integration management is like putting together everything to complete a project. Project integration also relates to the project life cycle because everything is done in the project life cycle phases. It also relates to stakeholders because the project manager must know the stakeholders and to get their perspective on the whole project itself.

2. The planning process has several steps, one of them involves being able to judge the long term objectives and that is done by studying the organization, which will reveal their strengths, weaknesses, threats in business, and being able to see patters that may occur in the future and being able to project the need for products and services that will be new.

3. -Making up a project charter requires the group member or project member to work with stakeholders to create a document that shows the authorization of that project.

-Developing a preliminary project scope statement consists of working with the stakeholder to look through projects products, services, results and developing high level scope needs.

-developing the project management plan requires coordination of planning the efforts to create a consistent, coherent document which is what makes up the project management plan

-directing and managing project execution requires members or project leaders to carry out the project plans by performing the activities that are in the project. The execution requires a large portion of the projects budget

-Monitoring and controlling a projects work is required to increase the chances of getting the maximum performance. This step is crucial and the project team must monitor and control project performance to evaluate the overall progress of the entire project
