Leadership has been a huge part of life ever since I was in high school leadership. I feel like I have always had a leader role especially when it comes to work or school. I am currently a waitress and for that position I have to be a leader in order for my restaurant to function and have my team on top. For volunteer experiences the main one is every time I'm home I volunteer at St. Vincent's with my mom. We prepare food and serve meals to homeless men, women and children. It's very rewarding and I really need to find more opportunities like that. I graduated with an honor's diploma and award from school sports. Even though I may not have as many awards as other students that doesn't mean I'm any less qualified. I am currently a 3.21 GPA student, who works 30-40 hour weeks. I have a wide set of experiences from traveling to South Africa, to attending college out of state, to getting my pilots license, to teaching spin class once a week, to being a full time student and working 30-40 hours a week. I just feel like I have had an eclectic range of experiences that have made me the person I am today. I have been away from home and my family for months on end. I fell like I am very mature, focused on my future, responsible, and a good person.

My dad is going to help me pay for some of my tuition, but for the most part I will be paying for all of my travels and for the rest of my tuition. I am so thankful my dad is paying for some of my tuition but it's really overwhelming as a college student knowing everything I have to pay for. I have been working a ton this summer and I just got a job at school where I will be working 30-40 hour weeks to save up as much money as I can before I leave. My family is supporting me, but without my own money this experience wouldn't be possible for me. A scholarship would help my family and I out tremendously.
