Women Needed in Financial Planning

I have attended a meeting that about women’s leadership panel this afternoon. We had lunch with females who are in personal financial planning field. The panelists include: Jodi Vawdry form Northwestern Mutual, BreAnne Mawhinney from Zions Bank, and Martie Tullis from UVU. They shared the valuable experience of their career, which are really helpful to me. The first thing I learned is the importance of networking. The more people you know, the bigger opportunity you have. So always use the lunch time to meet the people you want to connect with. Second, find the things you good at and choose your carrier you like. Then don’t be afraid of making mistakes in your field, you will learn from them. Third, don’t wait till you think everything is perfect. They mentioned that women tend to do something till they feel well prepared. But in financial field, you cannot do perfect because everything changes so fast in period time, so the only thing you can do is learning from the operate process.
