The main point of this article is the global obesity lifestyles in the

World. Increased consumption of sugar, and fats led to rising levels of obesity.

Since 1980 the number of obese and overweight adults has nearly quadrupled in

the developing world. This seems to be a trend throughout the world. Although

under-nutrition is still prevalent in the world, obesity also is prevalent.

This article is something that I found interesting because it seems

like obesity has been a topic of importance for some time now. I see change in

the way food distributors and products advertise their food. More organic and

healthy food is being advertised, and obesity is still a problem. Exercise is

promoted, and publicized on T.V. and radio, with weight loss T.V. shows. I

think there has been some progress in the fight against obesity with adults

and children.

I think the authors purpose is to let the reader know that obesity

Is still a major factor in the world. The author states that rising incomes are also

linked to increased meat consumption. While the United States of America has

had its difficult time with the economy, growth of the economy has led to more

jobs, which leads to more money, and maybe more groceries and fast food. I

think the author is saying that this is a big planet that we live on, and how to

distribute the levels of material consumption. I think the author is asking the

question, how do we consume without a system.

I think the author is being bias towards dieticians. The author states

that she would like to be a politician leading the change on obesity and diet choice.

I think that the effort that has been shown in advertising diet and exercise has been
