EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On 22nd April, I had been requested to present my research analysis of Proton Holdings by studying about its corporate background, corporate strategy frameworks, models, concepts and explain how it competes with their competitors. And, provide relevant result and reasons whether its should be the best way in coping with the economic downturn in the country - Malaysia.

Below are the areas that covered in my study:

1) Proton as the concise account of the business and its position in the industry and strategy group.

2) Proton applied RBV framework to establish its growth, competitive strength in the market and market position.

3) The analysis of Proton’s main strategies that have been adopted in coping with the economic downturn in the country – Malaysia and results.

4) Conclusion on Proton’s coping strategies and explanation on the reasons adopting the position.
