Title: Abusive Teen Dating

Specific Speech Purpose:

To inform my Speech Communication I audience on how abuse occur in teen relationships and find ways on how to end it.

Statement:

Abuse will never be in the scope of love.

Introduction

Attention Step:

Before the speech proper, I would play the song “Love Hurts”. I will also show pictures of teenagers abused by their partners in different ways. Do we all know what abused teens are going through? How does abuse affect their personality? How can they get out of an abusive relationship?

Clarification Step:

Statistics show that 1 out of 4 teens is in an abusive relationship yet patents are still not aware of it. Like in the United States, they don’t recognize teen dating violence as a significant issue well in fact the people involved are teenagers. Abuse are of different types and all of these are harmful and poses a deadly threat to one’s behavior. This speech would unveil the cycle of abuse and the ways of getting one self out from this kind of relationship.

Understanding abusive dating in teens is very hard knowing the fact that they are neophytes in falling in love so they tend to associate abuse with love but abuse has no place in love. It is a form of violence that should be punished deleting love on the scene.
