Video 1: To kill a Mockingbird

This video is about a man and a woman caught up in a courtroom in an attempt to seek justice. The man is about 30 years old and is an African American. On the other hand, the woman seems to be of a similar age and is a white woman. The man is accused of raping the woman as claimed by the woman. The courtroom is filled by a number of people on two sides separated by a pass way. The people seem to represent the accused and the accuser. There is one eloquent man asking the young woman questions.

During the court session, the eloquent man took a glass of water, asked Tom (the accused) to catch it and threw it at him gently. Tom was able to catch the glass using his right hand. The eloquent man went and picked the glass back from Tom and resumed his previous position and asked Tom if he could catch the glass again using his left hand but Tom replied he could not. He (Tom) explained that he has not been able to use his left hand since it was caught in a cattle chain when he was 12 years old. Tom’s response was followed by murmurs from the people seated at the hearing. An interesting part is that, the eloquent man asked the woman how it could be possible that the accused raped her with violence as she described using a single arm. The woman could not be able to clearly state how that was possible. Instead, she stood up full of emotion insisting that the accused raped her.

He is calm and straightforward in his immediate character. He stands to represent truth and this makes me identify him as honest. I choose to give him this identity due to his direct and clear response that he gives to the attorney....
