I would like to apply to work in an International brand hotel. International brand hotel is defined as a hotel brand that located in two or more countries (“List of chained-brand hotels”, 2014). I choose this type of hotel because of there are lots of benefit.

First, the management of International brand hotel is different from local hotel. As the scope of the hotel is larger, the management system is more comprehensive and holistic. Take Shangri-La as an example, the manger give a high degree of trust and confidence towards subordinates (“Shangri-La’s core values”, 2016). The management style will always motivate me to do a better job and provide a better service since I get trust from my manager.

Second, I can meet different people from different countries. Since the reputation of International brand hotel is higher, the guest may feel more confident and choose to visit the hotel. I can learn different cultures through meeting different people. I believe that these can help for my work. My experience can support me to provide more considerate services to guest based on their cultural background.

Third, it is about the career development. International brand hotel gives more opportunities for subordinates to upgrade themselves. For example, Marriott Hotel provides average 78 hours of training and 34 hours of professional development to their staff each year (“Putting People First”, 2016). Also, they promote from within. They provide lots of chance for subordinates to promote to a higher position in a short time.

Due to the several advantages mentioned above, I would like to apply my work in an International brand hotel.
