I have been an intern in the ICT Department from September 27 to January 31 and was involved in performing the following tasks:

User support: responding to users in need of assistance with their computers and network related matters e.g. access to network resources.

Configuring and maintaining e-mail, Money gram, Stand forwarding and outlook for users at the national bank of Kenya, Head office as well as branches.

Administrative support to the ICT division of the NBK Head office

Monitoring network connections and ensuring TCP/IP connectivity

Administering the Group Policy Management in the proxy server

Installation of operating systems and other software applications including server Operating systems e.g. windows server2003.

Configuring print servers and IP Phones.

Troubleshooting faulty computers, servers, printers, network ports and performing appropriate repairs and replacements for all computer hardware.

Servicing and performing of preventive maintenance on PCs and Servers such as installation of antivirus as well as administrating on the Service Level Agreements (SLA) that is carried out by various outsourced companies.

Installation of and configuring network printer connections to many PCs, Cashier printers Epson Lx300+ll.

Providing system support for the various applications used by the bank e.g. bank master, branch power applications, SMS banking, etc.
